Condor Personal Item Size (2026)

Condor’s free “personal item” is officially the small bag (kleine Tasche): max 40 × 30 × 15 cm (current from May 1, 2026; it was 40 × 30 × 10 cm until April 30, 2026). It is included on every fare, including Economy Zero and Economy Light. Official examples: handbag, small backpack, laptop bag. Stow it under the seat (EU carry-on page). It is not the Handgepäck trolley (55 × 40 × 23 cm). That trolley needs a Light, Classic, Green or Flex fare that includes it, Business or Premium rights, or a paid Zero add-on. On Economy Zero, pack meds, docs, and valuables here; this may be your only free cabin piece. Confirm sizes on condor.com before you fly.

Weight: Condor’s Handgepäck tables publish total cabin weights (8, 10 or 16 kg). Some English fare descriptions also give a personal-item max of 6 kg. Your fare’s total cabin weight is the limit to follow.

There is no paid upgrade that enlarges this small bag. Extra spend buys the Handgepäck trolley or hold bags, not a bigger kleine Tasche.

• This is not the 55×40×23 trolley. On Zero, a full cabin suitcase needs an add-on or a higher fare.

• Depth is 15 cm now (from May 1, 2026). Older guides that say 10 cm are out of date for current travel.

• Exit rows and Business: you may need the overhead for all pieces during taxi, take-off, and landing.

• Overhead bin reservation does not create a second free trolley beyond fare rights.

• Infants under 2 do not get the adult Handgepäck allowance.

• Failing the gate check means the bag goes in the hold plus the zone Handgepäck excess charge (€75 or €100).

Traveler caution: On Economy Zero, the free bag is the small one: 40 by 30 by 15 under the seat. If it only fits the overhead, you need a Handgepäck add-on or a higher fare. Confirm on condor.com before you fly.
